Married at First Sight

John has been a relationship expert on Married at First Sight AUS since it was launched back in 2015. He has been involved in 11 Seasons of MAFS, which has seen the experiment transform from a small observational documentary, to becoming a hugely successful TV reality show that is now shown in 120 countries (e.g. US, UK, Spain, Belgium, the Netherlands, New Zealand). He has become well known for delivering hard hitting feedback to the participants, calling out toxic patterns of behaviour and holding couples accountable for their actions during their time on the experiment.

“This experiment is a chance for all our couples to learn about themselves as individuals, as well as how they operate within intimate relationships,” he says.

“Whether they find love or not, it gives all of them an experience that improves their overall understanding of what to do and what not to do with their romantic partner, now or in the future.”

In terms of background, John has worked in the field of relationship for over 25 years, successfully running a private practice and exclusive retreats, giving out practical advice to singles and couples. He has been involved in a number of other TV shows including ABC’s Making Couples Happy and Making Families Happy, and has appeared as the relationship expert on Channel Nine’s Today Show, Today Extra, A Current Affair and This Morning UK. Since 2017, he has worked as the dating and relationship expert for 9Honey and Talking Honey, and is a best selling author and sought after speaker. He now hosts the new official Married at First Sight podcast with media host Shelly Horton.
